Be Your Own Inspiration

If this was an award show I would be Kanye and that would be my “grab the mic” speech. There would be nothing to follow except maybe commercials, an awkward silence or forced applause from the audience in an attempt to drown out what I might say next. But what else is there to say?

This post is NOT about an awards show and we are not discussing who had the best music video (but we all know who deserved the award👑🐝).
Today we are discussing your life and your goals and why you haven’t reached them yet. We are talking about why you’re not living up to your fullest potential & while we are asking the hard questions, we may as well touch on why you keep starting over.

Seriously … Why Sway?!

Can you truthfully answer these questions without making an excuse? Are you searching for the right motivation? Are your goals still serving a purpose? Do you quit when you’re not in the mood? Do you find it hard to keep promises you make to yourself and your business? Are you in need of support? What is it that is keeping you from reaching your ultimate goal? Are you in your own way?

I’ve compiled a list of 4 tips to help you get out of your own way and be the inspiration you need below.

Inspire Yourself |

Be your own damn inspiration! Stop looking externally for motivation! If your goals are not serving a purpose change them! Stop giving up on you. You ARE worth the fight! And PLEASE, oh please DO NOT tell me you’re tired. You are not tired, you’re uninspired!

Need help on being your own motivation? It’s as simple as 1-2-3-4.

  1. Decide what you want. You’re a pro at this one! Set your goals. What do you want? What are you being called todo? What do you day dream about doing? How can you help others? Write them down and look at them EVERY DAY!
  2. Make a plan. There is an old saying “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Set yourself up FTW & make a plan. Write down 3 things that need to be done to get to your goal. Two things that need to be done by the end of the day. And one thing that can be done before you go to bed tonight.
  3. Work on it. Put your plan into play! Whats a plan if you never put it into action. Be intentional about rollowing through with your plan!
  4. Repeat relentlessly. You will find your goals will create goals that create goals that create goals. Let it. Amend your plan of exceution & work on those!
